Test Dynamic Checkout Buttons on your Shopify Theme
The types of dynamic checkout buttons which your customers will see on your Shopify store depends on various factors. You can test your dynamic checkout buttons on your theme to see all the combinations. But there is one thing that you must do before you test dynamic checkout buttons on your theme. It is making sure that all the buttons are being shown.
Here are some steps that I have prepared for you on how to test dynamic checkout buttons on your theme on Desktop, iPhone, and Android.
Test Dynamic Checkout Buttons on your Shopify Theme
Step 1: Choose Themes section from Shopify Admin.
Go to your Shopify admin, choose the Themes
section which is in the Online Store
section.
Step 2: View your store.
In the Themes
screen, click on View your store
which is right under the word Themes
.
Step 3: Go to product page to test dynamic checkout buttons.
You can go to a specific product page
to view all the button on that page. And if you want to test the featured product section’s buttons, you can choose to stay on the home page
.
Step 4: Add string.
In your browser’s address bar
which is on the top of your screen, to show a branded button for some apps, you have to add a specific string to the end of your current URL
.
Step 5: Test Paypal button.
When you add ?shopify-debug=true&show=PayPal
, a branded button for Paypal
will appear.
Step 6: Test Amazon button.
When you ?shopify-debug=true&show=Amazon
, a branded button for Amazon
will appear.
Step 7: Test Apple Pay button.
When you add ?shopify-debug=true&show=ApplePay
, a branded button for Apple Pay
will appear. Remember that Apple Pay
only available on Safari
.
Step 8: Test Unbranded button.
When you add ?shopify-debug=true&show=checkout
, an unbranded button will appear.
Step 9: Reload page.
After you have entered the string to the end of your current URL
, press the Enter
button to reload the page.
