Step 1: Select Taxes
Sign in your account on Shopify website and head to Settings which is next to a gear icon at the end of the page. After that, you will see three columns of Settings appear on the screen that you have to press on the Taxes which is the last option in the first column.
Step 2: See the VAT rates you’re using
There are two sections in the Taxes, which are Tax settings and Tax rates then pick a Europe country from the Destination list. In the tax page of the chosen country, you can find the digital goods VAT tax in the Tax overrides. For example, the picture below shows you the tax rates for France, the VAT for digital products are 20% instead of 17% federal tax rate.
